Evernote
One of the best things I ever did was sign up to Evernote. It’s often very hard to handle all of the thoughts that come and go in a busy day or during the work week. If you are into writing – these ideas need to be stored somewhere. If you want to be productive, you need to have the info at your fingertips all the time.
The pros and cons of Evernote are very well covered here. Quick summary – use it as one long, messy note, where you can search for ANYTHING you’ve written at any time. This messy approach (as opposed to keeping many notes in perfectly organised pages) multiplies value exponentially (in my opinion!).
Apple products
Everyone knows Apple products. In the interests of time, I would highlight a few things that make them ideal companions for escaping the jungle of life:
- They sync well
- They combine well with Google services (and increasingly well with Microsoft services)
- Their designs still have the ‘ooooh’ and ‘wow!’ factor which makes you feel part of a kick ass tribe – being part of something bigger than yourself is still a fundamental part of overcoming life’s jungle.
